Dear Parents, 

 

It is my great pleasure and privilege to introduce myself as the new Principal of Phoenix Private School. I feel honoured to be chosen to lead PPS and I am excited to begin this journey with you all. 

 

I would firstly like to thank the staff and members of the wider PPS family for your warm and friendly welcome, as well as the support I have been given to ensure my smooth arrival.   

 

Secondly, a little about myself. I trained in the UK before moving to Qatar in 2014 to join Sherborne School. After which, I was Deputy Head teacher in Cairo, Egypt and then Principal in Shenzhen, China. Now, my wife and I feel like we are coming home to Doha, a place we cherish dearly.  

 

With extensive experience in academic excellence and student wellbeing, I am excited to continue to build on the progress the previous Principal started. I am committed to the professional development of staff, and the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning, with a focus on student wellbeing, resilience and support.  

 

However, before beginning to develop our strategic plan, it is important that I speak to those who know the school best, the students, the staff and the parents of PPS. I am eager to hear from you, and will be planning several occasions where you will be invited to the school and we will share updates on school direction and events, and you can talk to myself and the school leaders about your experiences with us.
